Sniff, sniff...
Do y'all smell that?
That... icky, yucky smell...
NO? Hmmm...maybe it's nothing! Oh well...
Happy Halloween everyone! What an exciting day we've had in the Cox household. It has been a fun family day...but this particular family day did have a little (or should I say BIG) twist...
You still don't smell it? Yes... the smell IS the twist...
Trust me... just stick around a little longer and you'll get a whiff...
Well, this morning started off with a few 'firsts...' First time for Caden to wear his new jean jacket circa 1982... joke, joke, 1988...no, no joke, joke again... 2009! They're back and for babies!
Sniff... SNIFF... do you smell it now??
On the road we caught a HUGE whiff of this...
When we got home Caden had to get some zzzzz's, but when he got up we had a special Halloween activity to do courtesy of Nana. Nana and Paps sent Caden a very special card for his first Halloween. In it were 10, $1 bills for him to practice his counting (chewing). And the best part was that once he was finished counting (chewing) he got to take his dollars to the ice cream store and buy he and his mommy and daddy some ice cream... YUMMY!!
Uh-oh... It's back! How about now?? Now, can you smell it?
That little stinker... how did he find us at home???
BUT he wasn't going to ruin our Halloween Ice Cream Party...
We got our scoops and headed to the lawn across the street from the ice cream store and popped a squat! Caden LOVES ice cream... especially Amy's Mexican Vanilla...
The skunk... HE'S HERE!! Let's go get 'em Daddy!!
I think he went this way...
Dinner time was especially fun today because we had a special bowl that our Aunt Terry sent to us. Once Caden finished his corn casserole he found a special Halloween message at the bottom...
Caden had to get all dressed up for his very first Halloween. We headed outside to take some pics before we traveled the streets. While we were out there we smelled it...
Can you smell it?? It is REALLY strong now...
The skunk... we could tell he was close by...
We spotted him on the side of our house. Quietly we snuck up behind him...
WAIT!!
HOLD THE PHONE!!!
The skunk...
IS CADEN?!!!
SILLY CADEN!!! It's you we've been smelling ALL day??!!
BUT you ARE a little stinker!!
Yah, I know... me either!! It's gone!! No more SMELL!! PHEW!!!
Our little skunk is safe in bed. Our candy is gone (mainly because Justin was tired of getting up in the middle of the Texas game and was giving HUGE handfuls to each lucky trick-or-treater!!) and our memories of our first Halloween are SWEET... and a little bit sour!! :) That lil stinker!!
Happy Halloween!!!
