My Little Ewok!

You're going to have to hang in there for just a little bit before you understand the title of this post... and trust me when I say it is WORTH the wait! (...or you could just skip the blog babble... I'd understand...or would I?!) Joke, joke...

So this weekend the Cox Circus (all 5 of us) high-tailed it to San Antonio for Albi's 54th birthday weekend!! WHOOO WHOOO! Of course Albi, not looking a day over the flip-flop of his age was super EXCITED to see THAT BOY. In a life full of bright spots, Caden most definitely is every one's BRIGHTEST spot these days. He makes us all feel warm and fuzzy inside and makes every celebration on the calendar that much more special! It wouldn't be Albi's birthday without Caden... it would be Bruce's, or Dad's, or other unmentionable names that Justin and Josh choose to tag Albi with... this was a first...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALBI!

We had a weekend-long celebration with WAY too much food, a little golf for the boys... a little tennis for the girls. And I need to pause here and let you all know that it had been almost 2.5 years since I had picked up a racket and nearly 1.5 years for KK and guess what??!! We really were not THAT bad... it was encouraging, exciting and entertaining for any of the neighbors who happened to be peaking out of their windows! We were out of breath, sweaty and sore by the time we had made it back home, but it was GREAT! We've decided that we'd work on our way through the circuit so that we can try to get the wild card into the US Open... NYC 2010...book your flights!!

Okay, pause over... so we did the golf thing, the tennis thing... the Target thing (I got some skinny jeans and tall boots... thanks to my forever hip and reassuring sister-in-law who promised me that even girls with curves can rock the skinny jean... oh and are you reading her blog yet?? If you aren't... DO IT!) Where was I??? Right, Target... the Payless thing (that is where I got my new boots... it was BOGO!! So KK and I both got a pair)... and we did what us Evans-siders do best... RELAX! We got to see lots of Josh and Emily and enjoyed three different meals together... I think that's a weekend record! It was fabulously fun and even though we were really there to celebrate Albi it was more a celebration of family... and what could be better than that?! Such sweet memories...thanks KK and Albi for hosting the Circus for the weekend! We had too much fun (or was that food?) as always... can't wait to come back again in a few weeks!

Happy Birthday Albi!

And now...

The moment you've all been waiting for... or skimmed the post to see...or jumped straight to without reading my fabulous blog entry...

Either way...

Are you ready??

Who does this little punkin remind you of???

Him, perhaps...??
YES?!

It's only fitting since Caden made me look like Jabba the Hut while I was pregnant...

Now he is taking his own Stars Wars character... the EWOK...

I couldn't contain my laughter... and to be honest NO one else thought it was near as funny as I did... but I'm his mom...almost everything his does tickles me pink until I'm purple!

Oh sweet little ewok, how I love thee!!

Happy Weekend!!
