Where Ya Goin'?

What a weekend, what a weekend... that's right,  you guessed it... Caden here! Back from a whirlwind weekend road trip... where'd ya go, Caden?! Hold your horses, and I'll tell you...

This weekend one of the people I visited was my Great Grandmother Caroline! We had so much fun... I was a little "tied" up the last time I saw her, so it was great to be able to hang out...just the two of us. During one of our shoulder to shoulder times she was telling me a great story...

When my mommy, Cousin Boozy and Cousin Shell were kids they used to sit on a red bench in my Great Grandmother's house. They would sit there and she would ask, "Where ya goin'?" "To San Antonio," they would say! My Gram said she wasn't so sure where they got San Antonio from and it would be many years before any of them would actually get to go to San Antonio, but for one reason or another it was the most exotic place they could think of to visit!

Joke's on them, because I made to San Antonio before I was two months old! I hit the big city in style! My daddy had a conference in San Antonio on Friday so my mommy, KK and I headed up Thursday morning so that I could spend extra time with my Great Gram who was visiting from Abilene. Daddy came after work that night, just in time for dinner at one of my mommy's favorite restaurants... Aldino's. I wore one of my fanciest polo onesies for the occasion. Check me out...

We sat out on the patio, because that is the only place mommy will let me hang out right now. She still isn't ready to let me enjoy the "real" world. Flu season-shmoo season! She does the best she can to keep us all germ free! ANYWAY... out on the patio there was a one-man band... it was just what I needed to get in a nice long nap! And when I got fussy my Uncle Josh was there to whisper me back to sleep!

The next day, while daddy was at his conference I hung out with my KK, Great Gram and Albi even took a half-day off from work to hang out with us too! Mommy says that is a HUGE deal and that he must REALLY love me if he took off from work. Mommy said he wouldn't even do that for she and my Uncle Josh... gosh Albi... I feel so honored!

Even though I'm sportin' my love of basketball, Albi thinks I will be better suited for football, so we practiced hiking the ball... we'll see maybe I'll be good at both! :) Or maybe I'll play the french horn like mommy always says, although I think she just says this to make daddy mad!

Locker room talk with Albi: you don't want to know!

San Antonio was great, but way too short... next time I want to stay much longer... maybe forever! :) But the Caden-show had to move on... and so we did... we packed it up and headed to...

HOUSTON... EEK!

Little me, in big 'ol Houston! I survived just fine. Mommy had to go to Houston to help throw a baby shower for my new friend Carter Scot Peterson. I am super excited to have a new friend, and this time a boy friend... no offense Ava... you're still my girl! :)

The best part about Houston was seeing my Aunt Cori and Uncle Tag! I got to go to their house and check out all of their ceiling fans... they were awesome! Much higher up than the ones at our house! After a long car ride I was ready to release my best jokes... I had the whole crowd laughing... they were in stitches... and so was I!

HILARIOUS!!

The next morning the Cox Family was treated to the Agnew Spa... Mommy woke up to a fresh scone and tall nonfat sugar free vanilla latte from Starbucks, her first since April 2008! Thanks Aunt Cori. Then mom left for Carter's shower and Dad and I hung out with Aunt Cori and Uncle Tag...

Bath time with Aunt Cori was awesome...

My dad... givin' me the 'ol dry off!

Then after my morning at the spa I settled in with my Uncle Bal-, I mean Uncle Tag for a nap! I love my Uncle Tag... I hope I am big and strong like him some day... of course I hope I get to keep my hair... still not sure what happened to his... poor guy!

Oh yah... here is me with my Aunt Cori... she was going to see a chick flick after she dropped Dad and I off in The Woodlands! She actually rode in the back seat with me all the way to The Woodlands... it was SUPER fun!

Thanks for letting me stay with you Aunt Cori and Uncle Tag... I can't wait to come back... next time I'll talk mommy and daddy into letting us stay for more than one night!

Saturday evening, mommy, daddy and I made it home... we all went to bed early and got a great night's sleep! Sunday was spent relaxing at home... and that concludes my weekend...

WHAT A WEEKEND...

Bachelor Finale is on... drama, drama, drama! Molly or Melissa? Molly then Melissa? Hard to say...

Love ya blog world!
