So I was very near to throwin' in the towel on this whole blog thing with the endless amount of BEHIND I was feeling in regards to it, but then I received my VERY FIRST blog book for Christmas this year and it affirmed my reasoning for keeping up with this thing. I will never been a scrapbooker and I might not always be a blogger but for now this is all I have and after getting the first 6 months of Caden's life in hardback it really is too good to pass up!
So I went through my pictures in hopes of finding out where I left off and what I missed I think and I came pretty close!
So before Homecoming and Halloween and the previous two posts this happened...
Coming Soon turned into on the market for the next 95 days... but we'll get to the end of that story later. But here is where we started.
J's company was bought out and its location will become centrally located within Austin in the coming months, so when the decision came to commute and stay put or live close and live in Austin it really wasn't a tough decision for us... to the city we go! The traffic here is no joke... and neither is an hour and a half commute one way, so off on our next adventure we flew...
Which is where some of my lack of blogging has come in... I can't blame it all on the red and blue sign in our front yard... but a good portion! :)
After being up on the market a few weeks, Justin and I took the kids to CC to spend some time with Kk and Albi while we took the kid-free opportunity to hunt for our next place. Not the house... just the area. There were SO many options to chose from and while we have lived in the area for nearly 9 years we didn't know much about actually living in AUSTIN...
I took the kids down there earlier in the week to spend some extra time...
First things was first... the trombone...
And of course the iPad...
And naturally we ended up at the beach... in October... awesome!!
Except for these guys...
They were every where and we had to be VERY careful!
All of those little bumps in the sand were jellyfish... I had never seen anything quite like it!
So it was kind of a bummer that we didn't get to play much in the water for fear of having to urinate on each other but we still got to smell the ocean air and feel the warm sunshine on our faces!
And snuggled up at home for some more KK lap time!
Friday evening I headed home to man and the next day we did some sight-seeing and happened to stop by where Uncle Josh and Aunt Emily got married many moons ago... :)
And SPOILER ALERT... our new place is just minutes away... little did we know then!
KK and Albi were sure to treat those two grandkids with the best time... they went to the Aquarium to visit their buddies Ky and Shadow...
What a great photo... props to KK!
And see all of the shows and visit all of the exhibits... they pretty much at the run of the place!
They were sad to see Kk and Albi go and cried for nearly 20 minutes after we picked them up and headed back home... geez! :)
Once we got home we did some pumpkin painting in preparation for Halloween...
It was serious business... obvi!
And the next few seem to be a a bit random... just a "day in the life" type stuff. Kaki loves to help me wash Daddy's work shirts... there is a certain way we have to prep them for the wash, and she is always quite the helper... as you can see!
This fall we had some great weather for outdoor playing... enough to get us through the cold few months of winter and the terrible allergies that the Cedar brought this year!
And we made some new friends...
Justin took Kaki on her first REAL Daddy date. They went to Chili's for lunch and then shopping... she came home with BAGS of stuff! She sure knows how to work her Daddy. And every time she wears something he bought her she says, "These the ones MY Daddy bought for me!" MY daddy! Oh my! She's a stinker but we LOVE her dearly!
Caden and Kaki had a super fun bro/sis Super Hero/Princess party to attend one Saturday... we were so excited and ready to go until Caden reminded me that Kaki does not have a princess dress! So I said, that's ok she can be a super hero... and he said, "Well, yes, but don't you think she'll want a princess dress when she sees the other girls in their dresses? I wouldn't want to be a princess!"
Point taken... let's go to Target then!
One Sunday before church... my little in their matchy-matchy blues...
Kaki has quite a eye for fashion... one of her outfit... mitten as a shoe!
Somewhere over the rainbow...
I'll get this blog caught up!
Until then...
